About Me
My name is Megan Lyons and I have lived near the Denver School District for 19 years. I have two children, both students at UNI. This is my 24th year of teaching. I began my teaching career here at Denver as a long-term substitute. I fell in love with the district in that semester. My first full-time teaching position was at Union High School in LaPorte City. I taught in that district for 4 years before joining my father (also a math teacher) at Waterloo West High School. For the 8 years I worked in Waterloo, I taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and Geometry. When a position opened at Denver, I jumped at the opportunity to work in the great district my children attended.

My Educational
|
My philosophy for education is that all students can learn. Some students may take longer than others to learn particular content, but my goal is to ensure all students become proficient with course content.
