Course Description

Algebra 1A is the first course in a two-year series covering all Algebra 1 content. This course will review middle school math concepts, cover the first portion of Algebra 1, and some basic geometry concepts. Algebra 1A concepts could include: Solving linear equations, solving linear inequalities, graphing linear functions, writing linear functions, exponent rules, data analysis, and polynomial operations. Students will be assigned an average of 30 minutes of homework each day. Material for this course is presented in lecture, investigation, discussion, by students sharing solutions in class, and by answering questions about problems in homework assignments. A scientific calculator is required for this course.
